Give a Future is run by a group of dedicated individuals who believe in sustainable change through cost effective programs. We provide detailed follow up for each of our beneficiaries, as we believe every individual counts and we are committed to rigorous impact measurement.
Our Board consists of Stephanie and Matteo Ferrario, Stefania Calice, Amelie von Wedel, Jenna Hoyt, Sophie Pongracz and Charlotte Salford.
Give a Future is a UK registered charity with number 1124082 and is able to provide tax receipts for donations. We now benefit over 10,000 people.
We are a small team working together intensely in order to run our projects well, listen to our communities and have fun while doing that.
We have an amazing local team of more than 65 people. We cherish our relationships and collaborations with our donors, beneficiaries and all the different people we meet through our work in Ethiopia.
Stephanie and Matteo Ferrario
Stephanie and Matteo Ferrario set up Give A Future Foundation after many years of supporting vulnerable children in the developing world, mainly in Africa. Their professional experience is in banking, marketing, and business development. They hold degrees in economics and business administration.
Stefania Calice is the co-founder of Give A Future and has been supporting children in Ethiopia for several years. She has worked in Marketing and PR in the Fashion Industry, and lives now in London with her husband and three small children.
Sophie Pongracz has been an economic adviser in the Department for International Development for more than eight years. She has worked on development programmes in many of the poorest and most fragile countries in the world, including Afghanistan, Bolivia, Moldova, and Palestine. In recent years, Sophie has specialised in making development aid more effective in fragile states and has co-written papers on the subject. She holds an MSc in Development Economics from SOAS.
Charlotte Salford is the owner and Managing Director of GrowthCap Ltd, a company developing social businesses and creating jobs in Africa, with particular emphasis on empowerment of women. She is a Board Member of Swedfund and Neuroinvent, as well as Give a Future, and is an Advisor to the Grameen Credit Agricole Fund.
Charlotte holds a BA in International Relations, EC Law and Economics from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles and an MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She has 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, as illustrated by her work with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development where she was the Director for SME development and entrepreneurship, operating in all 26 countries of the former CIS – from Central Europe to Mongolia.
Jenna Hoyt is a Canadian based in Addis Ababa. She is a certified nurse and has worked for multiple NGOs in Africa that work with vulnerable children and people suffering from late stage AIDS. She oversees all Give A Future projects in Addis, together with her Ethiopian colleagues.
Amelie von Wedel graduated from the Technische and Freie University Berlin with a degree in Economics and History of Art. She currently lives and works in London as an art consultant and gallerist where she set up Wedel Fine Art in 2006. Amelie has a strong interest in education and social policies, having been selected as a “Young Leader” by the American council on Germany and having been responsible for the exchange and educational programme of The Red Mansion Foundation for several years.
